Cash on delivery is how most online orders in Pakistan are paid, and it is where courier companies lose money and merchants lose trust. Here is how courier software keeps every parcel and every rupee accounted for.

A courier company handles two flows at once: parcels going out and cash coming back. Losing track of either costs money. Good courier software ties each parcel to its cash from booking to payout.

Booking at the counter

Book parcels for account or cash customers with weight, pieces, declared value and the cash to collect. The zone should fill itself from the origin and destination cities, so pricing is consistent.

Scans at every step

Hub scans in and out show where each parcel is. Customers can track without signing in on a public tracking page, which cuts calls to your office.

Rider runsheets

Each rider opens a runsheet, scans every parcel they take, and records the outcome. COD collected is recorded against each parcel, and the dashboard shows COD to remit by rider.

Proof of delivery

Merchant API and webhooks

E-commerce merchants want to book from their own store. A REST API lets each merchant get quotes, book, track and cancel parcels and read COD summaries with their own API key, which can expire or be revoked at once. COD payout batches

Paying merchants is where trust is won or lost. A payout batch bills unbilled parcels, deducts open invoices and pays the net by bank, Raast or JazzCash in one step, with payout advice sent to each merchant.

Freight forwarding and vessels

Companies that also forward freight need quotations for sea FCL and LCL, air or road with buy and sell rates and profit visible before sending, then jobs when the customer accepts. Vessel operators need voyages, manifests, bills of lading, port call costs and containers. Switch on only the parts you run.
